Atlantic Financial Federal Credit Union Celebrates 60th Anniversary
BBB Accredited Business and 2007 BBB Greater Maryland Torch Award Winner, Atlantic Financial Federal Credit Union recently celebrated its 60th anniversary with a reception and cake cutting at its Hunt Valley, MD headquarters. Chartered April 1, 1950 as Baltimore Telephone Federal Credit Union, the member-owned organization changed its name in June, 1994 to better identify with its growing field of members and expanding geographical area. Atlantic Financial Federal Credit Union (AFFCU), a non-profit, full-service financial organization, serves employee groups and their family members from the Hunt Valley and Inner Harbor branches, as well as, 2000+ Credit Union Family Service Centers and 25,000 surcharge free ATMS across the country.
BBB Greater MD 2009 Torch Award Winner, Turf Valley to Host Preakness Hot Air Balloon Festival
Turf Valley has again been selected to host the Preakness® Celebration Hot Air Balloon Festival on May 13th and 14th, 2010. This is the 3rd year that Turf Valley has been hosting the event, which is in conjunction with the Preakness® Celebration Week, culminating with the 135th running of the Preakness® Stakes at Pimlico Racectrack in Baltimore. The event is open to the public, and will feature local crafters, family friendly games and activities, and of course the hot air balloons which will provide a number of fun experiences for you and your family. The Hot Air Balloons will be offering tethered rides (for a small fee), multiple balloon launches, a balloon glow on both evenings, and the opportunity to purchase a hot air balloon ride with one of the experienced pilots and crew.
