In Greater Maryland, serving Western MD to the Eastern Shore

"Identity theft continues to rise. Victims can spend hundreds of dollars and miss roughly a week of work trying to get their lives back in order. Protecting your personally identifiable information by shredding sensitive documents at this event is one of the best things you can do to protect yourself," said Angie Barnett, president/CEO, BBB | Greater Maryland.
Individuals, families and businesses are encouraged to take part in the free event. Cintas Document Management will be on hand to provide on-site shredding, right before the visitors' eyes. According to a recent BBB alert, businesses are not immune to identity theft. In fact, a local MD business has been the unwitting center of a fake check scam after a company check was stolen, reproduced and sent by mail to hundreds of households across the country.
